Marc F. Oates - Attorney (licensed in Florida and West Virginia)

Marc F. Oates, Esq. is the President and Director of Marc F. Oates, P.A. law office in Naples, Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees from West Virginia University in Finance and Accounting, a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from Capital University Law School, and a L.L.M. in Real Estate Law from John Marshall Law School. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1999 (and in West Virginia in 2000), and he has been a fund Agent since 1999. In 2002 and 2003, he served as a Fund Paralegal Certification and Placement (PCAP) instructor at the Fund Collier County Branch. Beginning in 2003, he has been employed as an Adjunct Professor at International College (Naples and Ft. Myers campuses) where he combined a real estate transactions class with the Attorney's Title Insurance Fund PCAP course.

Marc F. Oates, Esq. was a speaker at the 2003 and 2005 Fund Affiliate Assembly (topic – Pitfalls of Title Examination and Top 10 Closing Problems, respectively) in Coral Springs and Tampa. Currently, he is an attorney/coach for Gulf Coast High School Mock Trial team (beginning in 1999), and is a member of the Collier County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Naples Area Board of Realtors where he serves on the Legal Resource Committee. He is a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker and Florida Mortgage Broker.

Melody Maybin - Paralegal

Melody grew up in Naples having moved here in 1972 with her family. Melody has worked in the legal profession since 1987 and has experience in complex federal court litigation, state court practice, family law, estate planning, real estate and general matters. Melody has obtained her Real Estate Sales Associates License and her Paralegal Certificate and Placement (PCAP) through Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund, Inc. Melody also has an extensive background and has taken additional courses and training in bookkeeping and accounting giving her the knowledge to successfully maintain all business records including, but not limited to trust accounting, payroll and monthly, quarterly and year end tax reports. Additionally, she has experience in staff recruitment, oversight and management.
